چکیده
the composite diazotization coupling reaction of sulfanilic acid and n, ndimethylaniline was used for the precise, accurate, and rapid determination of trace amounts of nitrite ion (0.02-3 µg/ml). the reaction was monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the absorbance of the produced methyl orange at 510 nm by a fixed the method of 5.0 minutes. the relative standard deviation for the determination of 0.50 µg/ml of nitrite was 1.8% (n=l 1). the method was used for the determination of nitrite in sausage and water samples

متن کاملKinetic spectrophotometric determination of trace amounts of nitrite ion using potassium bromate-murexide mixture in acidic media
A new, simple, rapid, and cheap method for determination of trace amounts of nitrite ion is reported.Determination is based on reduction of bromate ion by nitrite ion, in the presence of murexide inacidic media. During reaction of bromate ion with nitrite ion, the reaction mixture is decolorized. The absorbance changes is then monitored spectrophotometricaly at 520 nm, at 25 °C. Dynamicrange of ...
متن کاملKinetic-Spectrophotometric Determination of Track Amounts of Nitrite Ion Based on Its Reduction Reaction with Thionine in Acidic Media
A simple, sensitive and rapid method for determination of trace amounts of nitrite ion in real samples is reported. The reaction is initiated by adding known volumes of a nitrite ion solution of identified concentration to acidic solutions of thionine which causes decolorizaiton of reagent with time. The absorbance changes is then monitored spectrophotometrically at l...
متن کاملKinetic-spectrophotometric determination of trace amounts of vanadium.
A simple and sensitive kinetic-spectrophotometric method is described for the determination of vanadium and the possible mechanism of catalytic reaction is proposed. The method is based on the vanadium(V)-catalyzed oxidation of 1,8-diaminonaphthalene (DNA) by potassium bromate (Tiron as activator) at pH 3.8 and 40 degrees C. The reaction was monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the inc...

This study describes a new simple, sensitive and selective catalytic kinetic spectrophotometricmethod for the determination of vanadium (V). The method is based upon the catalytic effect ofvanadium (V) on the oxidation of Carminic acid by bromate in sulfuric acid media. The reaction wasfollowed spectrophotometrically by measuring the decrease in absorbance at 490 nm and thedependence of sensiti...
متن کاملKinetic spectrophotometric method for the determination of trace amounts of oxalate by an activation effect.
A new, simple and inexpensive kinetic catalytic spectrophotometric method for the determination of oxalate is described. The method is based on an activation effect of oxalate on a catalytic effect of iron(II) on the oxidation of iodide by bromate. The reaction is monitored by measuring the absorbance of triiodide ion at lambda max = 352 nm. A calibration graph was obtained from 0.10 - 7.0 micr...
